This Saturday morning chair/gentle (June 2) session is canceled to make sacred space for Bill Preeper's funeral.  I wonder, though, who would be interested in having the class this Wednesday evening May 30 instead?

​Tonight is the last of the Monday make-up days. We start fresh again after tonight!
I am investigating the possibility of continuing Mondays through the summer.  I am waiting to hear about space availability.  I am also looking at Thursday 10-11:00am as an added possibility for July and August.

Summer is approaching quickly and there seems to be a natural decline in participation in formal yoga classes as the weather improves.  Our time is spent on activities that are denied us during the long winter months.  Gardening, lawn and yard care,  traveling and other outdoor recreation are great ways to get exercise and are very exciting pastimes.  And it is easy to skip your class in favour of these other pursuits. But, these activities also put extra stress on our bodies and extra concerns in our psyches and over time you notice that something is missing.  

It's the breath, the mindfulness and the peace of mind that comes with the shared practice.  When you stop, you notice the absence.  You know yoga is much more than an exercise class.  And, you know you need that peaceful easy feeling in summer too!
